From Our Bed and Breakfast You Can Explore Scotland and be inspired!

The Scottish scenery, the romance and excitement of mystical Scottish castles, an abundance of surprises on the coast. Watching ospreys swoop and salmon leap. Indulge in the many holiday activities, tee off at dramatic holes or take to the hills with your own ghillie. Enjoy a little retail therapy with a wealth of bargains from High Street names, as well as specialist shops. Scotland is just waiting to be explored. So it's not surprising that Scotland has inspired and help develop the modern World.

The majestic views which enthral today’s visitors wove the same magic spell a century ago on Bram Stoker. He took lengthy holidays in Scotland, where he wrote the world-famous horror novel Dracula.

During a seven week holiday in the summer of 1881, Robert Louis Stevenson’s stepson Lloyd Osbourne painted a map, and suggested to his stepfather that he write a story around it. RLS did so, reading out every evening what he had written that day. So chapter by chapter, Treasure Island came into being.
